About

The Story
Growing up in a country music household in Warrnambool, Victoria, Michael Honan picked up the guitar at age 6 and never looked back. He found his creative outlet during the COVID pandemic, posting covers on Facebook that earned growing support from his local community.
In 2024, Michael won the Ridin' Starts competition at the Ridin' Hearts Festival and was selected for APRA's Melbourne to Nashville SongHubs camp, led by Lindsay Rimes. He was one of five participants chosen to travel to Nashville for further writing sessions with Morgan Evans. In 2025, he delivered standout performances at Groundwater Country Music Festival and CMC Rocks as part of the Back Forty lineup.
In 2025, Michael also played the Groundwater Country Music Festival and spent eight weeks in Nashville, where he wrote and recorded new music and performed his largest show to date at the ‘Country Goes Global’ showcase at Luke Combs' Category 10 bar during CMA Fest.
With new music on the way in 2026, stay tuned for what's next.
